REQUIREMENTS

  • Picking accurately and timely.
  • Participate in inventory counting.
  • Receiving material and putting up in bin locations.
  • Loading trucks.
  • Performing housekeeping duties in assigned areas of the warehouse.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.
  • High school graduate and must possess an I’D or valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum 2 years warehouse and forklift experience.
  • Physically able to lift and handle 75 lbs.
  • Experience with RF scanning system.
  • Computer skills needed.
  • AS400 experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent safety record.
  • Team player and able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be dependable, punctual and have reliable transportation.

ABOUT BPI

Building Plastics, Inc. (BPI), was founded by the late Alexander R. Hill in 1963. Located in Memphis, Tenn., BPI started with eight employees in a 7,500 square foot warehouse facility as a wholesale distributor of Formica Brand Laminate and Kentile Vinyl Plastic Floors.

Over the next three decades, BPI formed strategic, long-term relationships with other vendors and broadened its product lines to include hardwood flooring, vinyl sheet flooring, international porcelain and ceramic tile brands, residential and commercial carpet, rubber base flooring and more. In 2007, BPI launched its private line of hardwood, tile, quartz, carpet and LVT collections known as Prestige. BPI has continued to grow to become the nation’s second-largest floor covering distributor, and the largest distributor in the Southeast region.

Today, BPI’s distribution operations encompass 11 states, with 854,008+ square feet of warehouse space, 450 associates in 12 locations and is 100 percent employee-owned. Partnering with the industry’s top vendors and manufacturers, and representing more than 5,850 active customers, BPI continues to provide quality service and the best selection of flooring and decorative surfacing products.
